My world...

My world...

!!Hola, La Niña!!

Brunei plunging into flash floods and landslides; gosh, what an exciting month. I must admit, much preferable then the heatwave australia is suffering from. A lot of people had it bad. Really bad.... I guess i was pretty much in the same pickle; in a nutshell:

Basically, 2 of my neighbour’s houses were razed down due to soil falling from above the hill. My house was one of the houses closest to the scene (not affected and insyaallah, it will never be) that was beyond the safety zone; hence we had to evacuate.

(Our house to the right)

It looks promising cause' all the soil has stop moving and the parent rock is already expose-- meaning that it could've not get any worse from now (hopefully). Believe me, cleaning out 8 years worth of stuff and furniture in 2-3 days wasn’t easy. But thanks to family and friends, it was all possible. (thanks guys)

I was actually there to see both the houses go down; the slanting house was slow to fall on itself first (as it took days for the soil to enter the house) but seconds later, the other house was obliterated in like 20 seconds. Me and my dad was also quite close to the scene (at my backyard) as we didnt know it was gonna struck us with a suprise. It was fucking loud man... happend during heavy rainfall. It was soo surreal, like being in a movie type of experience. I was literally standing in the rain, soaking, with my dad and all the firemen/ploicemen in the area for as long as we could to make sure our house would be fine... we went back at 1am to my cousin's place; i did not sleep easy.

Hopefully authorities would have a plan to make it habitable again and the weather (predicted as a la Niña) would go away; I really do love that house…

Currently, im living temporarly at the HSBC bungalows in Bandar, which is a lovely place. Very natural and almost homey. Reminds me like houses in the deep jungle in KK valleys with a touch of British collonialism aesthetic.

On the brighter side of things, the gang at school organised a surprise party for me (three times of which two failed, hahaha). It was good! And the hoodie present with all the messages was awesome to the max; could’ve not been any better! =)

On a funny note, this would be the most memorable birthday I would have yet to come! Haha.

Till then, its back to work! Got a lot to do, so dont expect any more recent updates for a while. Huzzah~ gotta love work! =)

P.S - Check out my CAS blog. Its cool... Im so proud of it! =D
